Public notice: Southland reorganisation investigation – minor technical amendment

In October 2025 the Local Government Commission adopted a process for its investigation into the reorganisation of local government in Southland, in accordance with clause 7, Schedule 3 of the Local Government Act 2002.

On 22 April 2026 the Commission made a minor technical amendment to the timeline for its investigation into the reorganisation of local government in Southland.
