In accordance with section 19R of the Local Electoral Act 2001, the Local Government Commission has determined the representation arrangements for the election of the Whakatane District Council to be held on 8 October 2022.
In order to provide effective representation of communities of interest and fair representation for electors of Whakatane District, the Commission has determined that:
The Council will comprise a mayor and 10 councillors elected as follows:
