Decision on the representation arrangements for the election of the New Plymouth District Council to be held on 8 October 2022
In accordance with section 19R of the Local Electoral Act 2001, the Local Government Commission has determined the representation arrangements for the election of the New Plymouth District Council to be held on 8 October 2022.
In order to provide effective representation of communities of interest and fair representation for electors of New Plymouth District, the Commission has determined that:
The Council will comprise a mayor and 14 councillors elected as follows:

The Commission’s decision differs from the Council’s proposal by adjusting the boundary between the Clifton and Waitara Community Boards.
