Transfer of Part of Tararua District to Palmerston North City
A proposal to transfer part of Tararua District to Palmerston North City was initiated by a petition of Tararua District electors residing in the Woodville area. The petition was initiated in March 2005.
The Ohai Railway Fund Committee requested the Local Government Commission to amend the definition of "resident", in respect to membership, for the 1993 amendment to the Final Reorganisation Scheme for the Southland Region.
